On Saturday, March 12th, EBRPSS Department of Technology Services presented the 1st CTEC ESPORTS SHOWDOWN. Doors opened at 8:30am, followed by an introduction and tour of the CTEC Center at 9:00a. Students learned of all the pathways that are available at CTEC, including technology, carpentry, HVAC, and several others. After the tour, the first tournament began. Six teams made up of students from Capitol Middle, Istrouma Middle, McKinley Middle, Park forest Middle, Scotlandville Middle, and Westdale Middle entered the 3 vs 3 Rocket League tournament. After losing in the 2nd round, Scotlandville Middle came back from the loser bracket in a dominant fashion to win finals and claim the tournament victory.
After the 1st tournament, Raising Canes was provided by our gracious sponsor, Transformyx, and was followed by the 2nd tournament around 12:30pm. This time, the students competed in a 2 vs 2 style tournament. McKinley Middle and Scotlandville Middle dominated the action until the semifinals, where Scotlandville Middle handed McKinley Middle their first loss with a score of 7-1. McKinley Middle immediately bounced back with a 3-2 win to get to the championship match, but Scotlandville Middle ultimately took the win with a score of 3-0, crowning their team with the victory of both the 3 vs 3 and 2 vs 2 tournaments.

I have some extraordinary elementary students who I believe would be able to compete.
My son really enjoyed this event. His team – Bandits made it to the Finals and he actually participated as a commentator for one the matches.
Is there anyway I can receive video and/or pictures from this day? If so please email me. Thanks again for having events like these so our children can show off their intelligence and skills.
How do I get in i’m a student
